Senior Instructor Emine Dilek ÖZYILMAZ presented her study entitled as “Assessment of the Preparation and Characterization of Orally Disintegrating Mini Tablet (ODMT) Formulations Containing Atomoxetine Hydrochloride by Quality by Design (QbD) Approach in Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder Therapy" at 20th International Pharmaceutical Technology Symposium (IPTS) 2022. In this study, ODMT formulations were prepared using direct compression and lyophilization methods and with the help of factorial experimental design, using two different superdisintegrants in the prepared complexes and 25 mg ATO in each tablet. Weight variation, friability, diameter-thickness measurement, disintegration time, dissolution rate, wetting time and wetting percentage properties of ODMTs have been evaluated comparatively by Design Expert software programme. In addition, the taste characteristics of the optimized ODMT formulations were evaluated using electronic tongue.
