Faculty Member M. Pharm Beste Atli Presented a Group Work at EurasianBioChem Congress

A study conducted by members of EMU faculty of pharmacy Assist. Prof. Dr. Imge Kunter, Beste Atli, Ezgi Ak Sakalli, Nesrin Oztinen, Andia Babri and Prof. Dr. Muberra Kosar was presented by M.Pharm Beste Atli as an oral presentation in an international scientific congress, “International Eurasian Conference On Biological And Chemical Sciences (EurasianBioChem 2021)" on November 24-26, 2021. The talk was entitled as “Enrichment of anticancer activities of Phlomis brevibracteata Turrill. on HCC cells with sub-extraction". The work was met with interest by the people at the congress.

Findings of the study showed that various extracts derived from a Cyprus endemic plant has the capacity to cause anticancer activity. These results are promising for the isolation of new anticancer agents in the future.
