Dear colleagues,
We are happy to invite you to participate in the 1st Mediterranean Symposium on
Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MESMAP-2013) to present your research activities
and share your experiences in this high profile event. The symposium will be held on
April 17-20, 2013 in Gazimagosa (Famagusta), The Northern Cyprus, which will be
organized by Faculty of Pharmacy, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) joint
with AMAPMED (Association of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of the
Mediterranean).
The scientific program will cover all related aspects of medicinal and aromatic plants.
This international symposium will provide a platform for herbal medicines, botany,
ethnobotany, phytopharmacology, pharmacognosy, agriculture and forestry, plant
biology, phytochemistry and aromatherapy. We also aim to facilitate the participants
for developing collaborations. In addition to the scientific activities, a rich social
program throughout the symposium is also provided for informal interactions, which
include welcome reception, gala dinner, congress tour, and closing ceremony.
The city of Gazimagosa (Famagusta) is situated on the eastern coast of the beautiful
island of Cyprus in the heart of Mediterranean and possesses the deepest harbor of
the island. Home to the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Gazimagosa has a
walled city popular with tourists and a vibrant nightlife.
