A delegation from the US-based Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)—an internationally recognized organization considered an authority in the field of pharmaceutical sciences—visited the island on October 7–8, 2026, to evaluate the EMU Faculty of Pharmacy.
The team included ACPE Executive Director Prof. Dr. Janet P. Engle (PharmD, PhD (Hon), FAPhA, FCCP, FNAP); Prof. Dr. Naser Zaki Arshoit, Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the Lebanese American University (LAU); and Prof. Dr. Sanah Hasan, a faculty member in the Clinical Pharmacy Department at Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They evaluated the faculty's operations based on a total of 24 parameters, covering curriculum, theoretical and practical applications, faculty and university resources, general education, and quality standards.

During a site visit conducted two years ago, the MPharm and Pharm.D programs of the EMU Faculty of Pharmacy were accredited by the ACPE, with the accreditation valid until January 2027. Following that visit, the accreditation period for both programs is expected to be extended until 2031.
Following the evaluations, ACPE Director Dr. Engle expressed her satisfaction with the work carried out by the Faculty of Pharmacy over the past two years and conveyed her views to both the faculty and university administration
It is a source of great pride for the EMU Faculty of Pharmacy that its programs, already approved by YÖK and YÖDAK—have enhanced their international recognition by also gaining accreditation within the last two years from the US-based ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education) and the Germany-based AHPGS (Accreditation Agency for Health and Social Sciences).
Fully embracing the principles of modern and contemporary pharmacy education, the EMU Faculty of Pharmacy moves confidently into the future, guided by the prestigious and globally recognized accreditations it has earned.
